Domesticity and objects found within the home are the foundations of my work. Design within the home is constantly revised as lifestyles and the family unit evolves. Despite this, certain materials and details of ornament are strongly connected to a period of time.
By taking a particular element of design from a specific era in British history, my collection of jewellery reflects the evolution of domestic objects, materials, colours, patterns and textures. The “Home Rings” collection looks at two eras in history, the ‘Edwardian Series’ and ‘Mid Twentieth Century Series’.
My pieces express the changing place we call home.
